On Friday, The Bainbridge Spartans got themselves on the board against the Kingston Buccaneers, but the Kingston Buccaneers never followed suit. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Buccaneers. Given Bainbridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Kingston is ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jack Grant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 238 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Noah Weiss also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The win makes it two in a row for Bainbridge and bumps their season record up to 7-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.5 points. As for Kingston, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Bainbridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonney Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bonney Lake is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Kingston, they will head out on the road to face off against Foss at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Foss is on a four-game streak of home losses, Kingston a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
