Warsaw has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Weaubleau Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Warsaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Warsaw came up short against Osceola and fell 59-52.
Despite the defeat, Warsaw saw an underclassman step up: Tanna Howe scored 22 points along with 5 steals. The contest was Howe's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sara Miller, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Knob Noster scored an imposing 73 points on Friday, Weaubleau still came out on top. Weaubleau took their match against Knob Noster 81-73. The win was just what Weaubleau needed coming off of a 86-35 defeat in their prior matchup.
Warsaw's win bumped their season record to 4-3 while Osceola's defeat dropped theirs to 1-3.
Warsaw was able to grind out a solid victory over Weaubleau when the teams last played back in January, winning 68-57. Will Warsaw repeat their success, or does Weaubleau have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
