Lynbrook hadn't done well against American recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lynbrook Vikings put the hurt on the American Eagles with a sharp 60-40 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, American still got an impressive performance from Arman Mahavni, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Mahavni is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Dylan JaWei Lee was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Lynbrook now has a winning record of 3-2. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Lynbrook won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Homestead will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lynbrook surely won't give up without a fight. As for American, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Gunn at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. American is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season.
