The Timberline Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Yelm Tornados at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Timberline is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
Timberline put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They breezed by River Ridge on the road to the tune of 69-26. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-13.
Timberline can attribute much of their success to Sierra Cordis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, and Shayla Cordis, who scored 35 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cordis has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Yelm was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 43-37 to River Ridge.
Timberline's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Yelm, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Everything came up roses for Timberline against Yelm in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 83-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timberline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
