Mount Union has won four straight games at home, while Claysburg-Kimmel has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Trojans will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Mount Union is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 35.4 points per game this season.
Mount Union is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Southern Huntingdon County: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Trojans blew the Rockets out of the water with a 46-9 final score. The Trojans pushed the score to 39-9 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rockets had little chance of recovering from.

Mount Union didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nasir Collins and Hussan Posey. Collins is also crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 118 every time he's taken the field this season. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Claysburg-Kimmel strolled past Moshannon Valley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 29-13.
Mount Union better keep an eye on Mason Campagna. He was instrumental in Claysburg-Kimmel's win, rushing for 165 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 177 yards and one touchdown. Campagna is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). 80 of Campagna's passing yards were hauled in by Jacob Herline, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Claysburg-Kimmel didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Moshannon Valley to a completion percentage of just 43.8%. The Bulldogs hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.56 or higher in three consecutive games.
Claysburg-Kimmel's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Mount Union, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Mount Union has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 240.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Claysburg-Kimmel struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 157.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Mount Union was able to grind out a solid victory over Claysburg-Kimmel in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 21-13. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
