Maud came into their this week averaging 30 points per game, but Maud fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They took a serious blow against Wilson on Friday, falling 6-54. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Maud of the 20-34 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head.
The defeat dropped Maud's record to 2-3. The win bumped Wilson's record up to 5-0.
Next week Maud take on Wetumka at 7:30 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair. As for Wilson, they will face off against Waurika. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Wilson skips in on five wins and Waurika on four.
