The Life Center Academy Warriors won against the Franklin Warriors last Saturday with 77 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Sunday. Life Center Academy pulled ahead with a 77-76 photo finish over Franklin. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Kiyomi McMiller continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 39 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Shauna Curran, who scored 12 points.
Life Center Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Franklin, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Life Center Academy on the road again on Saturday and play against Saddle River Day at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Franklin, they will take on Pennington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pennington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Franklin in New Jersey (Pennington is ranked 23rd, while Franklin is ranked 115th).
