The Ridgeline Riverhawks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Sky View Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Ridgeline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Wednesday.
Ridgeline struggled with offensive rebounds on Wednesday (Bear River had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Ridgeline took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bear River.
Despite their defeat, Ridgeline saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Cam Blotter, who scored nine points along with six assists and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Blotter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Carson Cox was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Sky View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 65-52 to Logan. That's two games in a row now that Sky View has lost by exactly 13 points.
Ridgeline has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Sky View, they bumped their record down to 5-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Ridgeline came up short against Sky View in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 57-50. Thankfully for Ridgeline, Carter Davis (who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
