Rose Bud and West Side are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Ramblers will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Rose Bud will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Rose Bud came out on top against Des Arc on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Ramblers blew past the Eagles 10-3. Considering the Ramblers have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tanner Bell was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jay Bell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Isiah Heber, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, West Side was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to Quitman. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
West Side saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Hipp, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
West Side's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Rose Bud, their win bumped their record up to 13-8-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rose Bud has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Side struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rose Bud might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from West Side in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Ramblers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
