New Town extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping their season record up to 12-3 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Carver A&T Wildcats a 19-0 shutout. New Town might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by seven runs or more this season.

As for Carver A&T, they moved to 7-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but New Town's pitchers proved too tough.

For Carver A&T's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin Arneklev, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Town will venture away from home to challenge Owings Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.46 runs per game on average), something New Town will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Carver A&T, they will head out on the road to square off against Carver Vo-Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
