A Season-Best Effort from Kaden Brink Leads Salem over Quitman
Salem was led to victory by Kaden Brink, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Brink rushed for 265 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (129.8) per game. Those 265 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Unfortunately for Quitman, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Brink. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Brink saw the Bulldogs), he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Jordon Moore-Payne's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Quitman over Salem
Jordon Moore-Payne continued his hot streak on Thursday by dropping his third-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
Quitman dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. Moore-Payne and Quitman will head out on the road to challenge Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Martin Posts Huge Game in 29-22 Win
Jaden Martin continued his hot streak on Thursday by dropping his third-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 46 yards and three touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
This year, Martin has averaged 0.6 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 57.9 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 104.5 rushing yards.

On Thursday, Salem got the W thanks in part to Jackson Taylor playing the best football he has all season. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
For the year, Taylor has averaged 81.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 13.
