Pine Prairie is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on St. Edmund with a sharp 19-0 win on Wednesday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Ella Ortego was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Camryn Aguillard, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Pine Prairie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Natchitoches Central was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell just short of Calvary Baptist Academy by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost six in a row.
Natchitoches Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Lacour, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Sydni Jones also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Pine Prairie pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Natchitoches Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Natchitoches Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pine Prairie has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .474. It's a different story for Natchitoches Central, though, as they've only averaged .307. Will they be able to contain Pine Prairie's hitters?
