There's no place like home for the Pine View Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Hillcrest 45-15 at home. That looming 45-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Pine View yet this season.
Pine View found their leader in underclassman Reese Gustin, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gustin has scored at least 25% of Pine View's points. Another player making a difference was Claire LeFevre, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Pine View's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Hillcrest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Pine View won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kanab at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th. Kanab is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Hillcrest won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Viewmont at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Viewmont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
