Kenwood is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario). The Kenwood Broncos fell to Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario) 58-53. The Broncos' defeat signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Danielle Brooks, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Diann Jackson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Even though they lost, Kenwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Kenwood's loss dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario), the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenwood will challenge Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario), they will head out on the road to square off against IMG Academy on Saturday. IMG Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario) surely won't give up without a fight.
