The Tocoi Creek Toros are taking a road trip to challenge the Orange Park Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tocoi Creek will be strutting in after a win while Orange Park will be coming in after a loss.
Tocoi Creek came out on top against St. Augustine on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Toros' pitcher stepped up to hand the Yellow Jackets a 12-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Toros in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won six in a row.

Ryleigh Williams tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Naomi Valcin was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Julia Mauldin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Tocoi Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Augustine struck out ten times.
Creekside hit Orange Park with a seven-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders came up short against the Knights, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.
Orange Park has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Tocoi Creek, their record now sits at 13-9.
Orange Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Tocoi Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Orange Park, though, as they've been averaging only 2.4 strikeouts. Will Tocoi Creek keep running through batters, or will the Raiders buck the trend?
Tocoi Creek might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Orange Park in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Toros avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
