On Monday, the Apache Junction Prospectors made easy work of the ALA - Anthem South Titans and carried off a 17-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Prospectors.
Dylan Hunsaker made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
In other batting news, Apache Junction let Jaiden Montalvo and Aiden Deleon run wild. Montalvo scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Deleon scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits Montalvo has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aidan Mead, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
