Last Friday, Paint Valley took a serious blow against Huntington, falling 56-19. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Paint Valley in their matchups with Huntington: they've now lost four in a row.
Kylea Spangler was Paint Valley's leading scorer, having posted five points. Spangler also led the team in rebounds with five.
Meanwhile, Western's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by West Union at home and fell 48-13.
Paint Valley's victory lifted them to 1-3 while Huntington's defeat dropped them down to 3-2.
Everything came up roses for Paint Valley against Western in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 64-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paint Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
