This season hasn't been kind to the Lewiston Tigers, who are still winless after their eighth game. They took a serious blow against Dorchester on Thursday, falling 48-11. Lewiston was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-3.
Justice Currie was Lewiston's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Maddie Janssen held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Lewiston's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Dorchester, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewiston will take on Meridian on Tuesday. Hopefully Meridian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. Dorchester will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Sterling on January 4, 2024.
