Volleyball Recap: Saint Francis Catholic Academy Victorious

Saint Francis Catholic Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Williston Red Devils 3-2. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Saint Francis Catholic Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Williston into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 22-25, 28-26, 15-13.

Morgan Ritten produced another solid effort getting 20 digs and seven aces. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Pappas, who had 13 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Saint Francis Catholic Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.

Saint Francis Catholic Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Williston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
