Ash Fork/Seligman hasn't had much luck against Williams recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Spartans will face off against the Vikings at 2:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Williams will be up against a hot Ash Fork/Seligman team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over Mayer on Tuesday.

Ash Fork/Seligman got a massive performance out of Jordyn Vazquez, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Vazquez a new career-high. Aspen Bond was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Ash Fork/Seligman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .611. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Williams got the win against Mogollon on Tuesday by a conclusive 19-5. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 14 runs.
Danika Howe made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Aliyah Torres was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Miranda Chaney, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
The victory made it two in a row for Williams and bumps their season record up to 8-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Ash Fork/Seligman, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ash Fork/Seligman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Williams struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ash Fork/Seligman might still be hurting after the 23-1 loss they got from Williams when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
