If The Kirtland Central Broncos were feeling good off their 54-0 takedown of the Gallup Bengals last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kirtland Central suffered a tough 48-22 defeat at the hands of Aztec on Friday. Kirtland Central lost against Aztec in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-14 score last time.
Kirtland Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Aztec, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Kirtland Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Aztec will be playing at home against Taos at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Taos is ranked 56th, while Aztec is ranked 36th).
