It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Bullock County Hornets can now relate to. They were dealt a 60-27 defeat at the hands of the Knights on Monday. Bullock County just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
It was another big night for Hannah Smith, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds for Montgomery Catholic. Smith continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Heaven Bailey, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
Bullock County's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Montgomery Catholic, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11.
Bullock County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montgomery Catholic will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Booker T. Washington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday.
