Warner fell to San Pasqual Academy 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Frankie Diaz ran for 37 yards and caught 8 passes for 40 yards in the defeat.
JOSE RAMIREZ provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Calvary Christian defeated Crossroads Christian. RAMIREZ's favorite target this week was JORDAN EVANS, who caught 2 passes for 43 yards.
Olan Cazad made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Dragons bested Warner. He recorded 1 fumble and racked up 2 sacks.
RAMIREZ was the most successful running back in Sunset (8 Man) this week. He ran for 162 yards on 15 carries as the Lions lost to San Pasqual Academy. Teammate BRANDON COLEMAN added to the ground attack by rushing for 107 yards.
Calvary Christian's ANDREW LEAKEY and EVANS led the league in both passing and receiving yards. LEAKEY has thrown for 738 yards this season, while EVANS has 18 catches for 317 yards. Brandon Alexander from Rashiid Burgo's team leads the league in rushing with 1,125 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Calvary Christian takes on second place St. Joseph Academy. G Garrett's team defeated Crossroads Christian last week, while St. Joseph Academy fell to Ocean View Christian.
The Patriots made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 582 from 698. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 50-14 victory over the Crusaders last week.
