Mercer County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sara Dunn out in front who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Dunn has scored at least 25% of Mercer County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ak Drakeford, who scored 13 points along with 7 assists and 3 steals.
Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mercer County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Somerset will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m. As for Mercer County, they will head out on the road to face off against Danville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
