Foundation Academy took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Cornerstone Charter Academy by a score of 10-5.

Foundation Academy got a massive performance out of Elizabeth Ozim, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Ozim has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Winters, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Foundation Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Legacy Charter rose to the challenge on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Central Florida Christian Academy 18-17. The win continues a trend for Legacy Charter in their matchups with Central Florida Christian Academy: they've now won eight in a row.
Lindsay Donahey made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Donahey was even better at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklynn Kowal, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Madison Catrett was another key player, going 2-for-6 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Foundation Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Legacy Charter, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Foundation Academy took their victory against Legacy Charter in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
