Hudson is 1-9 against North Royalton since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Explorers will host the Bears at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Hudson will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Wadsworth, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Explorers blew past the Grizzlies 11-5 on Tuesday. Considering the Explorers have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Claire Eland made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Madison Rosko and Gianna Pirtle did most of the damage at the plate: Rosko went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Pirtle went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Pirtle has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Cicen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Hudson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wadsworth only posted a batting average of .344.
Meanwhile, while North Royalton put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Solon. The Bears were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Comets. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Hudson now has a winning record of 9-8. As for North Royalton, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
Hudson came out on top in a nail-biter against North Royalton in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 8-6. Do the Explorers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
