After a string of four wins, the Baldwin Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. Their rough 70-50 defeat to Ottawa might stick with them for a while. If Baldwin was looking for revenge after losing 42-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Baldwin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cooper Carr, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Ziembicki, who scored 15 points.
Baldwin's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3. As for Ottawa, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwin will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paola is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Ottawa, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
