Wayne has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. After both having extra time off, the Wayne Badgers and the Tabiona Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Wayne has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 431 points over their last six matches.
Even though Wayne has not done well against Manila recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. Wayne came out on top against Manila by a score of 56-44.
Wayne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Lee led the charge by scoring 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Ryker Peterson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, even though American Prep WV scored an imposing 61 points two weeks ago, Tabiona still came out on top. Tabiona walked away with a 71-61 victory over American Prep WV. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tabiona.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tabiona to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Rhoades, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The match was Rhoades' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Easton Peterson, who scored 18 points along with five assists.
Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Tabiona, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
