After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Silsbee, Lumberton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Jasper Bulldogs 18-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lumberton's victory bumped their record up to 5-12-2. As for Jasper, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Coming up, Lumberton will challenge Bridge City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jasper, they are taking a road trip to square off against Silsbee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
