The Dunedin Falcons''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Palm Harbor University, falling 47-0. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dunedin in their matchups with Palm Harbor University: they've now lost eight in a row.
Noah Walstead threw for 42 yards on seven of 16 attempts. On the ground, Travis White rushed for 28 yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Harbor University to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxon Wilson, who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Wilson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mykehl Boebert, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Dunedin's defeat was their sixth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Calvary Christian and 8-2 Berkeley Prep (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65% over those games). As for Palm Harbor University, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Dunedin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Palm Harbor University will look to defend their home field on Friday against Durant at 7:30 p.m.
