Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randolph School). Everything went their way against the Asbury Rams on Friday as they made off with an 18-4 win. Julianne Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Jones was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Sofie Bynum was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Eliza McCrary, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Randolph School's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Asbury, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
