The Clairemont Chieftains will be playing at home against the San Diego Cavers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Clairemont had to suffer through a rough 42-6 loss at the hands of Hoover. Clairemont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Meanwhile, San Diego entered their tilt with Canyon Hills with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. San Diego took down Canyon Hills 35-21 on Saturday. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but San Diego was the (much) better team in the second half.
Jayden Wade was the offensive standout of the match as he picked up 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns. D'angelo Besikof got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Clairemont now has a losing record at 4-5. As for San Diego, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 3-6.
Clairemont suffered a grim 28-7 defeat to San Diego in their previous meeting back in September of 2017. Will Clairemont have more luck at home instead of on the road?
