The Charlotte Catholic Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the T.C. Roberson Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games.
With a playoff game on the line, Charlotte Catholic rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down Myers Park 42-24. Charlotte Catholic pushed the score to 42-16 by the end of the third, a deficit Myers Park cut but never quite recovered from.
Charlotte Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Smith, who threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. Hugh O'brien also helped out with an impressive 97 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, T.C. Roberson can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over Reagan. The win made it back-to-back wins for T.C. Roberson.
Tyrin Credle went supernova for T.C. Roberson, rushing for 177 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Lex Dinwiddie, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Charlotte Catholic to 8-3 and T.C. Roberson to 9-2.
