On Saturday Genoa-Hugo take on Edison at 1:00 PM. Genoa-Hugo will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Last Friday, Genoa-Hugo put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Colorado School for the Deaf Blind to the tune of 54-18. Genoa-Hugo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but freshman Colby Simmons led the charge as he rushed for 88 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with ten tackles Simmons was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Edison and Cheraw, but Edison stepped up in the second half. Edison came out on top against Cheraw by a score of 20-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for Edison.
