St. John Lutheran has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the First Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. John Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for St. John Lutheran, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-33 loss to Countryside Christian.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brody Gravante, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Furey, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, First Academy came up short against Tavares on Friday and fell 58-49.
St. John Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for First Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
St. John Lutheran took a serious blow against First Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 54-22. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. John Lutheran was down 46-11.
