The Tri-Cities Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the White County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tri-Cities Christian comes in on three and White County on eight.
On Monday, Tri-Cities Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Unicoi County, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory.
Tri-Cities Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Bosken, who went 5 for 6 on her way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Haws, who posted 11 points and six assists.
Meanwhile, White County was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Soddy Daisy 64-35. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Tri-Cities Christian better focus on containing Bella Winningham and Ashlyn Selby as the pair were huge in White County's win. Winningham almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards, while Selby dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 boards. Winningham is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Ava Jones was another key player, putting up ten points.
White County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.
White County pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Tri-Cities Christian and White County are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Tri-Cities Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.6 points per game. However, it's not like White County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 67.9 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
