North East had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Girard Yellowjackets 11-1 on Wednesday. The Grape Pickers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.

 Sydney Wittman was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  run. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Maisy Post was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexa Forsythe, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
North East picked up their first road  victory, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Girard,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-10.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North East will venture away from home to  challenge Cathedral Prep  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Girard, they will head out to  take on Fairview  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something the Yellowjackets surely won't give up without a fight.
