Trinity Collegiate's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Autumn Kind, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Legette, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Hammond's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Trinity Collegiate, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4.
