The Marysville Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Jackson Heights 75-53. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Marysville has managed all season.
Despite the loss, Jackson Heights still got an impressive performance from Dawson Cochren, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Cochren is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chesnea Cochren, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
The victory got Marysville back to even at 5-5. As for Jackson Heights, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-5 record last season and are now at 3-6.
Marysville will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears on Saturday. St. Marys is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season. As for Jackson Heights, they will square off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hayden's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so the Cobras' offense will have their work cut out for them.
