Basketball Recap: Mansfield Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lamar

Mansfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 81-64 bruising from the Lamar Warriors. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Lamar to victory were Ben Noonan and Kade Boen. Noonan dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 boards, while Boen posted 24 points and five rebounds. Noonan has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 40 times he's played. Kaz Crotts was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Mansfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lamar, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Mansfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-41 loss against Subiaco Academy on the 7th. As for Lamar, they have also already played their next match, a 91-60 win against Cedarville on the 7th.
