4A Conference 20 recap October 8, 2013
Rashaad Goodwyn of Dinwiddie ran for the longest rushing play in 4A Conference 20 this season against Petersburg last week. Goodwyn ran for 86 yards on the play and finished with 93 on the day as his team beat the Crimson Wave.
Dinwiddie added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Petersburg, 44-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Caroline's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rasharrd Harris threw for 289 and 3 touchdowns and Keyshwan Johnson had 142 yards receiving. On the ground Chad Boxley chipped in 185 yards. Aason Pankey helped Caroline's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 119 yards.
Harris put up the best numbers in passing as the Cavaliers beat King William. Harris' favorite target this week was Johnson, who caught 7 passes for 142 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Caroline's Harris and Johnson have proven to be a lethal combination. Harris has thrown for 1,235 yards this season, while Johnson has 29 catches for 541 yards. Sadarius Williams from the Generals leads the league in rushing with 676 yards.
Jeremiah Ross' team scaled the state rankings by moving to 174 from 219 this week, the biggest jump in 4A Conference 20. The Cavaliers climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Cavaliers 42-6.
