Basketball Game Preview: Impact Christian Academy Lions vs. Wolfson Wolfpack

The Impact Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Wolfson Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Impact Christian Academy has ten straight wins, Wolfson has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Impact Christian Academy is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Harvest Community: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Impact Christian Academy blew Harvest Community out of the water with a 76-24 final score. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Warriors are ranked 654th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Impact Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wayne Johnson out in front who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Johnson a new career-high. Dominic Simons was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Wolfson played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Fleming Island, falling 59-36. The Wolfpack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Impact Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Wolfson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Everything went Impact Christian Academy's way against Wolfson when the teams last played back in February of 2022, as Impact Christian Academy made off with a 54-34 win.
