With a playoff game on the line, the Woodville Eagles rose to the challenge on Thursday. They breezed by Orangefield on the road to the tune of 51-7. The result was nothing new for Woodville, who have now won five contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Woodville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zayon Williams led the charge by rushing for 99 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Tymarion Walker also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.
Woodville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points per game. As for Orangefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Woodville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Orangefield also has no future games currently scheduled.
