It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Faith Academy Knights can now relate to. They fell just short of Tribe W by a score of 70-67. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
Faith Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Dunn, who rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Dunn really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. Travis Woodley was another key contributor, gaining 195 total yards and two touchdowns.
Faith Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Tribe W, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Faith Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tribe W will take on East Texas Homeschool Sports at TBD on Friday. One thing working in East Texas Homeschool Sports' favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
