After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paulding, the North Central Eagles were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took down Swanton 62-43. This was payback for North Central, who suffered a 72-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.
North Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joe Burt out in front who scored 16 points along with five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Burt has scored at least 25% of North Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Meyers, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
The victory got North Central back to even at 2-2. As for Swanton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will square off against Antwerp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Antwerp focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Swanton, they will head out on the road to face off against Otsego at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
