Rush City had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Marshall Hilltoppers on Wednesday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Natalie Rood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
