Baseball Recap: Ray Has No Trouble Against King

Ray won the last time they faced King and things went their way on Thursday too. The Texans put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 13-0 win. With that victory, the Texans brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

OJ RUIZ and JASON GUTIERREZ did most of the damage at the plate: RUIZ went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while GUTIERREZ went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave GUTIERREZ a new career-high. ETHAN GARZA was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Ray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Ray and bumps their season record up to 16-10. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 9.5 runs. As for King, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19-1 record this season.
