Softball Recap: Harper Creek Wins Going Away Against Norrix

Harper Creek won the last time they faced Norrix and things went their way on Wednesday too. Harper Creek put the hurt on Norrix with a sharp 12-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Beavers have won by exactly ten runs.

Taegen Anderson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Anderson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Harper Creek let Kaylee Kirkpatrick and Sophie Kline run wild. Kirkpatrick scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Kline scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Kirkpatrick has posted since back in May of 2024. Allison Govier was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Harper Creek has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Harper Creek and Norrix will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Harper Creek sees the field they'll take on Pewamo-Westphalia at 4:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Norrix, their break will end when they face Lakeshore at 4:00 p.m. on April 10.
