The Crisp County Cougars and the Wilcox County Patriots will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Crisp County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Crisp County earned a 65-53 win over Turner County. The win was just what Crisp County needed coming off of a 71-51 loss in their prior game.
Crisp County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylon Cooper out in front who scored 15 points. Zymarion Hudson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wilcox County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their fourth straight loss. 2024 welcomed they with a 65-43 loss courtesy of Fitzgerald. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wilcox County has scored all season.
Crisp County now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wilcox County, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-9.
