It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Kent Island Buccaneers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over North Caroline. Winning may never get old, but Kent Island sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Shane Bogardus was his usual excellent self, rushing for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Bogardus is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Kent Island's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for North Caroline, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 9-2.
Kent Island will face off against Decatur at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Decatur's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last ten games. North Caroline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
